Rautiainen was the main offensive catalyst as Ilves U16 took an impressive 12-5 win over Sport. The 5’10” center displayed a lot of skill and nice vision of the game. His puck control and handling were really good and he could dangle opponents. He was able to corral passes off of his skates with ease before making a play. In one shift he dangled multiple opponents and circled around the offensive zone, but held on to the puck for a bit too long and could not get a shot off. He has great playmaking skills and puck poise but he did not hesitate to use his shot either. He scored a power play goal where he delayed, got closer to the net and finished with a precise shot. He did not show explosive speed in this game but his offensive skills stood out and his defensive game was pretty good, too. Ilves is a team that plays with an attacking mentality which suits his game well. Rautiainen finished the game with a goal and three assists.
