REPORT: CZECH REPUBLIC @ FINLAND U20, NOVEMBER 9, 2019
Erholtz, who played on the third line with Antti Saarela and Ville Petman, was among the better Finnish forwards in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Czech Republic. Overall, the Finns were quite effectively kept to the perimeter by the Czechs, but Erholtz showed that he can play a straightforward game from time to time. He has very swift hands, some nice deception in his game and can make shifty moves to evade defenders and create room for himself. He showed a good understanding of the game and smarts away from the puck. Although not the most powerful skater, he has good lateral mobility and uses quick bursts of acceleration to carry the puck up the ice and be dangerous on the rush. He is a fairly rounded skater, but seems to lack an extra gear. Based on his strong play at the tournament, his development continues to be on an upward trajectory. That makes Erholtz one of the top overage Finnish prospects for the 2020 NHL Draft.
