Jenik has been a major addition for Ketterä this season. The Czech winger has been held without a point in only one of his six games and it took a very short adjustment period for him in Finland’s second highest league. He has been a consistent offensive threat and able to drive the play thanks to his offensive skill set. He has a smooth pair of hands, he can dangle opponents and overall his stickhandling is really good. He has a quick and accurate wrist shot and generates a lot of shot attempts from good spots. He has quality passing skills and can find his teammates with impressive precision in the offensive zone. He is pretty good in offensive transitions as well. What’s more, he plays a very physical and aggressive brand of hockey, he does not shy away from contact and seems to like to agitate oppoents. He’s constantly involved in the game and an entertaining player to watch. The fact that he was sidelined for a lengthy period of time due to injury makes his performances in Mestis even more impressive.
