Huhtamaa made a combined 68 saves against Jukurit and Blues, including 42 saves against Jukurit. Jokerit U20 lost both games 3-2 in the shootout, however, he gave his team a chance to win. His net coverage was strong and he did a good job of challenging shooters. He was calm and consistently alert. Huhtamaa possesses good vision and rather quick reflexes; however, his game was based more on good positioning than making athletic saves. He looked poised when handling the puck and he was capable of making the simple and effective pass on the rare occasion. However, I thought his rebound control could have been better, especially on high shots. The Merrimack College commit is an intriguing goalie with several attributes that could make him a very successful NCAA netminder.
