REPORT: LUKKO @ BLUES U18, SEPTEMBER 29, 2019

Parviainen had a solid performance on Lukko U18 first line against Blues. He gave smart passes and used the width of the ice well to find his teammates, both in the neutral zone and offensive zone. He played an intense game, kept his feet moving and got in on the forecheck. His skating, especially in terms of agility and pivoting, had improved from the past season. He had also added strength which showed in battles. He has a good, accurate shot but wasn’t able to use it a whole lot today. Parviainen is versatile, dependable on both sides of the puck and can play in any situation. While he may not be the most skilled or creative forward, he has smarts and the ability to generate a fair bit of offense at the U18 level.

SCOUTING NOTES (OCTOBER 25, 2018)

Parviainen is a competitive, versatile winger who can make an impact at both ends of the rink. Possessing good stickhandling skills he can maneuver with the puck in tight spaces and make plays in traffic, has some finesse to his game. Has a quick and hard wrist shot that hits the net consistently. A good skater with quick first few strides and pretty good mobility, he can hit solid top-end speed. Plays with a consistent effort. Parviainen made his national team debut at the end of the last season and his development is trending upwards. Can play in all situations, as well as up and down the lineup. Game projects well for the next level.
