Ervasti had a superb performance for Lukko U20 in this playoff game. His confidence with the puck stood out, especially in the offensive zone, where he was willing to take charge and create opportunities with his individual play. His head was up with the puck so that he could scan the ice and identify time and space. He displayed good playmaking skills from the back end as well. He recorded one goal and one assist in the game. On his goal his wrist shot found its way through a screen to the net. His shot is not particularly heavy or quick, but he is able to place it well: he shoots with a purpose. Defensively he has a good stick, reads the game well and is proactive rather than reactive. He has gained explosiveness and quickness – skating has improved considerably in the last two years. The right-shot defenseman is an NHL Draft prospect with a balanced game and offensive prowess.

Ervasti played in all situations and was the top defenseman for Lukko U18 in the win over Blues. He was highly efficient defensively, he got his stick on the puck and protected the slot properly. He was quick to apply pressure on the opposing forwards and he consistently had good awareness of his surroundings. He displayed good puck moving abilities, giving crisp and accurate passes. A couple of times he was given room to maneuver and he carried the puck up the ice well on those occasions. He is a good pass receiver himself, as he can get pucks under control quickly. Ervasti has improved his foot speed and mobility since his HIFK U16 days, plus his first step looked more explosive. The right-shot blueliner has some nice upside because of his versatility and steady three-zone game.
