Luoto had a strong game for Tappara U18. The winger played on the second line and also got ice-time both on the power play and penalty kill. Despite playing a lot on special teams, he created his best offensive opportunities at even strength. Luoto has quality stick skills and the ability to control the puck well in tight spaces and under pressure. He made a couple of similar plays where he used quick, short strides to generate good speed before cutting inside and to the net. He had a nice zone entry in the second period. He also played a reliable defensive game and used his stick well to regain possession for his team. He played with a consistent effort without the puck.
