Oskari Vuorio is a smaller center standing at 5’9″ and 154 pounds. He put up three goals and three assists in seven games for Kiekko-Espoo U18 last season. He also registered one assist in 11 games with Kiekko-Espoo U20. He has good puck skills and can make quick one-touch passes. He moves the puck well low-to-high in the offensive zone. He’s a smooth skater that gets up to speed quickly. In the U18 SM-sarja, he was excellent on the forecheck, as he took away time and space and frequently forced opponents into hasty decisions. Supports his teammates at both ends. He will need to get physically stronger so that he can operate more in the middle of the ice. A skilled forward who plays a consistent and methodical game, both with and without the puck. Vuorio was named to the Finnish U18 national team roster for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August.
