Kivenmäki was one of the most noticeable players in Finland’s win over Germany at the U20 Five Nations tournament. The Detroit Red Wings prospect is a really good skater with great agility, acceleration and edge work, as well as good top speed. He was quick to put pressure on the opponents and his quickness enabled him to make himself available for passes. Kivenmäki scored the fifth Finnish goal on the power play in the third period as he fired a quick wrister up high. He was given a bit too much room to make a play and the center took his chance. A highly skilled playmaker, he made plays and showed fast stickhandling in the final third. He was decent at the face-off dot, winning 6 of his 15 face-offs.
