Kiukas displayed really good backwards skating ability and four-way mobility. A very smooth skater, he could travel with the puck and he made things look easy. He made many subtle plays in his own end and showed good vision under pressure. His stickhandling was good and he remained calm in the face of opposing pressure. He moved effortlessly along the offensive blueline, he could hold on to the puck and give crisp, precise passes. His play away from the puck needs some work. Although he was capable of defending opposing rushes and closed in on forwards quickly, he did not play overly physically in the defensive zone. He could have been more aware of his surroundings as well. Overall, this was an impressive game from Kiukas, who scored one goal in regulation and twice in the shootout to win it for Ketterä U18.
