REPORT: JOKERIT @ BLUES U18, MARCH 8, 2019
Lahnaviik played his second game with Jokerit U18 after spending most of the season at the U20’s. The hard-working and defensively reliable winger complemented his linemates Jere Henriksson and Juuso Mäenpää well in the 5-1 win over Blues. He provided support to his teammates and played a quite physical game. Lahnaviik has decent acceleration and while he could smooth out his stride, his top speed is good. He made a solid block in the second period where he got into the shooting lane. He’s got some good skill and set up the second Jokerit goal with a good, timely pass to Mäenpää.
REPORT: TAPPARA @ JOKERIT U18, FEBRUARY 3, 2018
Lahnaviik scored an empty-net goal and had one primary assist for Jokerit U18 in a 4-2 win over Tappara. The 2001 born right wing played with great overall effort in each shift. He did a lot of the little things right, keeping his feet moving and playing a relentless game without the puck. He battled for pucks along the boards. He has a strong, powerful stride and builds up good top-end speed. Moreover, he has good puck handling skills and can make clever puck distributions. Lahnaviik was deservedly named to the Finnish roster for the upcoming U17 Five Nations tournament. He’s a versatile forward who puts up points and also makes plays that don’t show on the scoresheet.
