REPORT: MINOT @ ST. CLOUD (NAHL), MARCH 7, 2O20

Immonen centered the Minot Minotauros first line in a 7-4 win against the St. Cloud Blizzard. There were many things to like about the 6’2″ two-way center. He moved around the ice very well. He has good acceleration and he can stop and start on a dime. He is agile as he can make tight turns and cuts without losing momentum. He showed good awareness of his surroundings and he consistently gave puck support to the defensemen. He was quite physical, he won some puck battles and he had a strong stick. His passing was somewhat sloppy in the first period, but he improved the precision as the game progressed. He recorded two assists, on both occasions he fired low shots from close range and his teammates scored off rebounds. His wrist shot is pretty good, although it could use some more punch. He was very strong at face-offs, he won several draws cleanly and most of the big ones. Immonen is headed to Union College for next season and his game should translate well to the NCAA.
