Tuomola was a stable presence on the backend for FPS in a 6-5 win against Kiekko-Espoo. He is a mobile defenseman with good foot speed and backwards skating ability. He was willing to join the rush as a second-wave option in this game. In his own end he took away time and space and clogged the middle of the ice well. He wasn’t noticeably physical, but he made up for it with strong, active stick work. Offensively, Tuomola has a lot to offer. He handled the puck well, snapped crisp passes and could kickstart the breakout. He could deliver precise, clean feeds both on his forehand and backhand. Playing for his hometown team, the late 2002 has been a great addition after Christoffer Sedoff left FPS for SaiPa in the Liiga.
