Ojantakanen did not get on the scoresheet in a 4-1 Jokerit U18 win against HIFK but still made an offensive impact. The 1st line right wing made one great touch pass to create a really good scoring chance for his team. Ojantakanen handled the puck well, showed poise and his passing was smooth and accurate. However, his biggest strength is his heavy and accurate shot. He also has a quick release, being able to shoot off of stickhandle and without much set up. He’s a decently mobile skater with solid speed, but needs time to get his legs going. He has been more dangerous and unpredictable in the final third this season, showing good vision on the rush. He’s not particularly physical but he’ll compete without the puck and hold his own in corner battles.
